    It's probably a mistype. He probably meant the the LED and 2.0 MP cameras separately.

    Yes, but the 2.0 Camera comes with the LCD and the other option is the LED screen/camera

    There are 4 screen options:

    LED screen with camera
    LED screen without camera
    Standard screen with camera
    Standard screen without camera

    So it looks like machines with the standard screen, but no camera are the ones that will be shipping soonest.

    I hope so CodeMonkeyX. :) The sales guy said to me on the phone (7th July) that it will likely ship in the final week of July " but I will endeavour to get it to you sooner" - well whatever that means... I'm sure he tells that to everyone who orders over the phone. :p Although it won't help being impatient... heh...

    Yeah in an e-mail he said he will personally watch my order for me and send me a confirmation when it ships. That just means he activated the automatic shipment notification thing. :p

    Sometimes you have to read between the lines with them.

    Thats nothing.. im working on a laptop that if u close it .. it stop responding when you reopen it.. My desktop comp.. if you touch it wrong.. it completely stops responding.. I mean nothing but a screen that doesnt respond.. and then I have to restart it by hand.. or it just crashes and restarts itself..

    sounds like the ones ordered on the 26th will be most likely be shipped tomorrow, parts shortage means their parts will goto the people who ordered first.

    theres a shortage of LED and 2mp cameras, so the people who ordered a regular LCD without camera will also get theirs shipped soon. I dont think theres too many of these people because the camera is free, and most people probably got the camera whether they got a LED or non-LED screen.

    I think people who ordered on the 27th might get it shipped soon also, because I ordered on the 27th and got a shipping date of july 29th. However i remember the day after, or 2 days after, people's shipping date was suddenly getting pushed well into mid to late august. I think that was the point in time when demand overtook supply for the parts in shortage.

    just my theory.. I think the lucky people who ordered on the 26th will most likely get their shipped no matter what type of LCD they ordered.

    ---does anyone remember when was the order date when the estimated shipping date suddenly jumped well into august? 28th? 29th? 30th? or early july?

    Nah, I work at a Cenex refinery and we aren't allowed to have cell phones! The lady told me she'd call when it shipped, so I'll check my phone during breaks and check for the good news! :D
