I tried searching, but couldn't find anything on this weird problem.

I am connecting my m1330 via vga to my hp w2207 LCD. When the laptop is powered by battery, everything is perfect. The quality is wonderful. However, when the power is plugged in, I have interference with the signal quality. There are shades or lines of static that appear on the monitor. Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this and a solution to it? Thanks

I tried the HDMI and it does not have this problem. But that output is currently taken as I am connecting my TV through that.

There might be some sort of grounding issue with the VGA port. Call Dell and ask them about it, sounds faulty.
