    i have window vista ultimate install in my laptop if i call dell, do you think they'll send me a XP pro + cd key for downgrade?

    No I don't think they will.
    I think you have to supply the XP Pro yourself and install it yourself.
    But you can always phone them up and ask them.

    i thought microsoft allow window vista bus or ultimate user to downgrade to xp before jan 14

    Yes, but Dell is not required to mail you a CD just because Microsoft extends the licensing agreement in that way.
