The laptop wouldn't revive itself from hibernate/sleep again, so i held the power button down to turn it off. When i went to turn it back on nothing happens except for the caps lock light blinks, then after about 30 seconds the computer shuts off. I have tried just about everything i can think of including removing the battery, power adapter etc and reseating the ram. I am not sure if this is related but today i decided to install Ubuntu as a dual boot with vista. With it installed i have turned it off and rebooted it etc without this happening, until now. Any help will be much appreciated.
    Specs: M1330, T7500, 3gb ram, intel next-gen agn wifi card,250gb hd.

it's a memory error. .. google is your friend

Some say you can take the memory modules out, fiddle how they're seated and it works.. i dunno. Good luck though.

Jeepers. I'm guessing it's memory, as there doesn't seem to be a specific number code.

I have been calling them, but i just came from the u.s and the international warranty transfer didn't go through yet (i am in canada) so they said they can't send me any parts until it goes through.

Try playing around with all the RAM sticks you have with you. Start by installing the three of them individually in one slot and test, then repeat in the other slot. It will also help if you have another laptop around to test the memory. If nothing works, then you will have to wait.

Did you try to boot from a bootable disk?
    Or a bootable USB device?

At least to eliminate HD failure....

Well it never really gets to the booting point because nothing really turns on. I actually have a bootable ubuntu disc stuck which i can't get out. Thanks for the reply though.

See if the LEDs are blinking in the pattern in the attached image... That is caused by a faulty/fried CPU.. Or bad connection on the mobo..

And if it's the Caps lock is on, and the rest two blink, it's an LCD error..
