Got my m1330 today, did a format with media direct, OS, drivers, and my programs. I've installed the driver and console software that I downloaded from Creative for my sound blaster express card. I can see the card in the safely remove hardware window as PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge, but when I try to open creative audio console I get this error message"the audio device supported by this application is not detected. the application will exit." I did a search, but didnt see anything pertaining to this express card. Any help would be much appreciated.

Insert the express card 1st,then boot the computer.
After the os loads, then install the drivers/software.
I have the same xfi express card/M1530 and its very finicky.

Uninstall all drivers/software,turn comp off, reinsert express card, then boot, bios should then recognize the card, your os will then ask to load drivers.
I had a pcmcia version of this card with a IBM x41 too and I always had to insert card before booting for the thing to operate correctly.

Then I would say the card isn't properly seated in the slot/incorrect drivers/or express card is defective
Try the drivers on the disc that came with the card.

yea, why didnt I think of that?...thanks, I'll give the disc a try, because the card worked in a vostro 1500 a week ago, and I see the blue light on the card and also the red light coming from the optical out. So I'm pretty sure its a software issue.
