Few days ago I bought new dell m1330 and the only problem I have with it are problems during audio playback. I run this notebook with Windows XP SP2 and quite often I can hear some strange sound during playback.
It happens randomly and it does not matter if I run on battery or AC power. It is also independent from wireless and it appears in headphones and also in speakers.
I tried to reinstall audio driver, but it did not help. I recorded small demonstration, so you can listen it at time 4 seconds from the beginning. Here is the link.
I think (I am not sure) the problem is connected with hard drive, I have hard drive with 160 GB, 7200 rpm. In BIOS I use AHCI. There is no other problem with the notebook.
Does anybody have the same problem or recommendation how to solve it? I would like to know if it is software or hardware problem. Thank you.
