Hi guys. I just received my first M1330 (refurbished) from Dell and proceeded to do a clean install, however I cannot eject the MediaDirect disk so I can insert the OS disk. I tried the eject button on the media control bar and Fn+F10, but nothing worked. I didn't try ejecting anything prior to the clean install, so I don't know if they worked before. Any suggestions? Thanks.

older bios revisions would require you to to eject the media direct (MD) disc before restarting.

the only point you could do this is after MD has sucessfully prepared your hard drive (either using 1 or 2 parititions) and when you see "MD setup successful" screen, there you have to eject the MD disc and replace it with the vista/xp disc before you press any key to restart.

I ended up calling tech support. They walked me through many different tests and determined that the drive was bad and they're sending someone to replace it.
