    hi guys,
just wondering which one is better cause in canada it seems you can only get the dell wireless N, not the intel like in the US. Also it seems you can only go up to the T7300 core duo... not the T7500 like in the US... would there be a significant performance improvement with the latter?
    cheers

i do not think it is worth the money to upgrade. sure there will be *some* improvement but i doubt it will be significant.

don't know too much about wireless-n though, sorry. i'll just jump on whichever I can get.

I use the draft-n card on my XPS1210, which seems to work perfectly with my 11n router

Yea I am on this issue too. Do you think Dell Canada will offer a intel 4945 N card in a week or so?

If you want that card and it's not on the site, give Dell a call and see what they can do. Some things just may not be available in Canada.

I don't think there's that big a difference between the Dell and Intel cards anyway, though.

I have an older Dell card and it's fine. I think you won't notice any difference (unless you need Linux compatibility)... but in the unlikely event you don't like it, you can always buy the Intel card and install it yourself:

Since the 802.11n spec hasn't been finalized yet, all N is draft N right now.
The only difference is the people who labeled it draft N are being accurate.
