I cannot seem to find an answer to this, does the Dell M1330 card reader have the ability to read SDHC cards, in my case a 8gb card.

    It doesnt read mine, anyone?

It does read 4gb, not sure about 8 though. It may need driver update by Dell like my treo needs software update to read SDHC 4gb card.

It should not need any driver update as it IS SDHC compatible. 4 or 8 GB are both SDHC, so you should be fine. Again, though, it definitely IS SDHC-compatible.

I have an 8GB SDHC card that I use in my Canon TX1 digicam. The XPS M1330's reader will only *properly* read the FIRST 4GB (3.92GB to be exact). The remaining ~2GB worth of pictures/videos were copied successfully by the OS, BUT none of those pictures or videos were readable.

It's not my card because I was able to open the other 2GB of pictures and videos when copied from my Sandisk extreme reader. Good thing I didn't delete those off the card before I tried it with my Sandisk reader!

That's really interesting. Have you informed Dell Tech Support and/or Ricoh? I would hope Dell/Ricoh will release a new driver, if that is the case.

Oh no, I do not have that kind of time or energy to explain to Dell the situation, "top of the line" XPS support notwithstanding.

They will likely tell you something is wrong with your card (or you!), and you probably can't reason with them even if another card reader reads the entire 8GB properly.

It works! Something wrong either with the card or the reader or the drivers!
