Hi,
Im trying to figure out if there is a problem with my graphics card. I have a dell XPS M1330, T7500, 3GB ram, 8400m GS. Basically when I first got my Dell the recovery partition was accidentally deleted and so I lost the factory settings and had to do a clean install of everything. I found all the necessary drivers and have downloaded the latest Nvidia Driver from Dells website - the R180763.exe which is nVidia 174.31. The problem I have is that when I try to play a game like Counter strike my m1330 wont play it smoothly. I did a video stress test and it was really jerky and said that it was playing at 4.93 frps which is a joke!! The thing is I can only use drivers from Dell. If I try and download any drivers from laptopvideo2go then I get this error message when I run the setup.
"Nvidia setup error. Setup detected that the operating system in use is not Windows 2000 or XP. This setup program and its associated drivers are designed to run only on Windows 2000 or XP. The installation will be terminated."
It doesnt matter which driver I download, when I run the setup I get the same message. Is there a problem with my graphics card or have I not set something up please. My M1330 seems slow in general - loading times and transfer time are very slow so it might be something else. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

So what OS do you have installed... Sounds like vista in which case head to Support.dell.com and DL their drivers for your card
