    My M1330 gets burning hot!

When im browsing the web with the lid open, the palm wrests get mildly hot, but when i leave the computer on and shut the lid, the palm wrests become REALLY hot, almost to the point where my palms get red after a couple minutes of use.

there must be vents through the keyboard for this to happen, while gaming my palms get red when the lid is open...

TOO hot, are those iXoft or air mats worth a try for this probleM?

you stated the problem your self---dont close the lid, unless u have a laptop cooler. the heat gets trapped, and may cause overheating of HDD, CPU, and GPU

The palm rest will get warm since there are components like the hdd(or something else) underneath it.

    Also monitor your temps .

In the Power Options, you can select what Windows will do when you close the lid. You can select shut down, do nothing, or enter a power-saving state, such as sleep or hibernation. So if you select do nothing, it can cause heating problems that could damage components or even the screen.
