    Ripped from Gamespot:

"Crytek today revealed the minimum and recommended system requirements for the game.

    Minimum System Requirements:
    OS--Windows XP or Windows Vista
Processor--2.8GHz or faster (XP); 3.2GHz or faster* (Vista)
Memory--1GB RAM or 1.5GB RAM (Vista)
    Video Card--256MB**
    Hard Drive--12GB
    Sound Card DirectX 9.0c compatible

    * Supported Processors: Intel Pentium 4 2.8GHz (3.2GHz for Vista) or faster, Intel Core 2GHz (2.2GHz for Vista) or faster, and other similar CPUs.

** Supported chipsets: NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT + or similar GPUs. Laptop versions of these chipsets may work but are not supported. Integrated chipsets are not supported. Updates to your video and sound card drivers may be required.

    Recommended System Requirements:
    OS--Windows XP / Vista
    Processor--Intel Core 2 DUO @ 2.2GHz
    Memory--2GB RAM
    GPU--NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS/640 or similar"

    CPU? Check!
    RAM? Check!
    GPU? Uh...

Now, if I could only figure out how to shoe-horn an 8800 GT into that unused mini-card slot... rofl

Crysis would be wasted on the tiny screen though. You quite literally wouldn't see the forest for the trees.

For a game of Crysis' ilk, or any game really, you want to be immersed in your gaming environment. The M1330 doesn't even put out digital surround sound for that aural extravaganza of frantic omni-directional firefights either.

With a bit of luck, one of the consoles will get it. And with another bit of luck, all of the PC, Mac, X360 and PS3 owners will be able to frag the bejebus out of each other simultaneously. Haha!

I just posted a widely researched comparison that ended up concluding Crysis would be playable on the m1330 - except that I misread the minimum specs as a 6600 GT instead of the actual 6800 GT. Oops. Must read more carefully.. :D

Unfortunately, yeah, this one looks a bit out of bounds for us 1330 owners. The 6800GT benches roughly 2000-3000 in 3dmark06, while the 8400M GS is stuck at a bit more than half that. Even if it fired up, it probably wouldn't look pretty at all....

    Guess I'll stick to Bioshock ( http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=2474450#post2474450) :D

2-3K? No where near good enough for Crysis, I should think... that's why I'm not tossing my main rig, which as modest as it is, scored 5450 in 06. I just might even replace my 7900GT* with an 8800...

I'm just going by EA's official minimum requirements - which explicitly states that the 6800 GT is the baseline.

I have no idea why people on this forum get so wet over 3dmark scores. They mean absolutely NOTHING when it comes to real world performance.
It's simple a tool used to measure the ***** size of the tester.

That debate's probably older than you are but for the record, I disagree and I feel that these synthetic benchmarks give the user some indication, if not a one to one comparison with real-world games.

More importantly, I was j/k about trying to run anything remotely as complex as Crysis on a 8400M GS equipped Notebook.

The new ATI 2900HD scores very high in 3Dmark, It also holds the WORLD RECORD supposedly in 3dmark 06 (results not official yet, check xtremesystems)...

But the 2900HD Doesn't do as well in real world gaming.

Though the 8800 card scores less than 2900HD, it outperforms the 2900HD in real world gaming.
