I have a good friend that asked me to recommend a laptop.
I recommended the M1330, since I plan on getting the same one in the near future. He went to a Dell kiosk and looked at the M1330 and felt that icons and text in Vista were too small. The Kiosk attendant was not very helpfull in trying to adjust the display to improve things for him. While he wears glasses and his vision is 20/20 with them, he still suffers from some occasional eyestrain and wants to know what options are available to him in Vista to adjust the display to accomodate someone who is slightly visually impaired.
He also worries that if he makes text too large, some windows wont fit on the screen. He has considered upgrading the M1530, yet he really likes the small physical size of the M1330 for carrying.
So are there any M1330 owners who have less than perfect vision who can provide some advice.
    Thanks!

Maybe looking for a light weight 14.1 inch laptop (like a Lenovo ThinkPad T61) would be a good way to go.

You can make text and icons bigger by increasing DPI scaling (without changing the resolution and loosing sharpness). But if he is going to use the notebook for prolonged periods and if portability is not a major concern, better to get something larger : like a 14.1 or even a 15.4.
