    Hi,
does anyone know what i should use to clean the palm rest of my M1530 cuz it tends to discolour a bit and i was wondering what type of cleaning agent would be most appropriate.
    thanks

Do you mean the base or the palm rest?

Microfiber cloths are awesome for cleaning electronics. I use one for my DS, my TV, my iPod and I will use one for my m1530 too!

A moist cloth should do it.

If the hand oils and dirt are stubborn, then a little bit of liquid dish soap in the water should do it without hurting the finish. Wipe it with clean moist cloth to get any residue cleaned from the finish.

I use alcohol wipes on the brushed aluminum palmrest. It does a fantastic job. One firm swipe side-to-side across the palmrest makes it look like new. I then use a microfiber cloth to get rid of any smudges on the keys, touchpad, screen, and lid.
