    Hi

Is the new M15130's 8600 the DDR2 or DDR3 version?

    Thanks.

I have been on the chat with both an American sale rep and Canadian sale rep of Dell, and they have both stated that it was GDDR3. The American one answered yes, after one of his techs dug in the spec sheet and found the info...
Bottom line: according to Dell, it is DDR3 :)

I guess that would make sense, considering it is a high end premium notebook offered by Dell.

I contacted American chat and they said it was DDR3, but ,my friend contacted a Canadian sales rep and he said it was DDR2. SO no one knows yet.

They are just sales people, they do not engineer the products, they just look at the computer in front of them. if the information is there they can say it.

From what i know, it will be gddr3

Remember when the 1520 came out, all reps were saying it was GDDR3. I'd just assume for the worse, and if it is a GDDR3 version, then it's a nice surprise ;)

You don't need to be an engineer to be given information about what you're selling. The spec sheet should list this info, just like other do (G1S for example).
