I have the M1530 and I noticed a very strange problem when data is being transfered over the Bluetooth and Intel WiFi card at the same time. I am downloading a file at about 500kbps but when I turn on the bluetooth to listen to music on my stereo bluetooth headsets, the download speeds drop to 25kbps. I experimented multiple times and all results ended up being the same. The instant i disabled the Bluetooth adapter my WiFi's speed was restored instantly.

My network was not affected if I was using Ethernet and Bluetooth, only WiFi and Bluetooth. I think that there might be a power supply issue or something. They both might be using the same power and it is not enough to supply both devices. Anyone else run into this issue?

looks lk a software conflict rather than a power supply issue...

It could also be the fact that bluetooth might be interfering frequency wise with the WiFi. Are you doing channel bonding on the 5ghz band or 2.4?

it isn't software related. I tried different applications and everything resulted in the same results. I've also got the latest drivers for both the bluetooth and WiFi cards and am running Vista SP1. It was also a problem before i upgraded to SP1.

    And I've got a 802.11b router, so I am using 2.GHz.

If you look under technical support on the dell website they state that "the engineers are aware of this problem and that they are working on a solution" I have the dell 1525 and have degradation of the internet whilst using the bluetooth mouse. Dell does NOT list all of the affected computers but my guess is that it is all of them.
