    It's not only you.

Well, from what Dell representatives have told customers, both the samsung and LG screens are being phased out

Damn it, and I was about to order a 1530 next week... Does anyone know if by phasing out both Samsung and LG, they mean that their out of LGs and everyone who orders now will be suckered into a samsung until they clean their shelves or will they acctually provide a higher resolution(and hopefully quality) alternative any time soon?

    Brgds,

    Aleksis

    HAHAHAHA

@aleksisp, he's just kidding, its a joke between us guys who have struggled ourselves to get an LG screen. We´re kept being told bullsh*t the whole time, like once when a rep told someone that they would be discontinuing the use of samsung screens... which was an AMAZING lie.

Lol, I apologize for the confusion.

But seriously, it is a little weird that you can't get 1680x1050 (or 1440x900 for that matter) from Dell UK. I assume that if there was a temporary shortage, they would just slap a "This option may delay your shipping date" label on the hi-res screens...

It happens the same here in CHile (south america). What you have to do to get access to those screens is simply order via telephone, there you can ask the guy for the higher resolution screen..

here in chile we don't have options nor for high resolution screens (only WXGA appears available) and also intel N doesn't appear as well, but i called over and got the 1680x1050 plus the intel 4965N both on my order, its just calling over, their internet systems aren't always really updated and stuff.

    greetings

yep doesn't inform us of anything... i also thought it was just a temporary shortage for now... but i guess later they will have the option available again, mind you i don't really want a "dodgy" screen.

Has anyone from the UK been able to order a higher res screen over the phone? Iasked one of the online chat reps and was told it wasn't possible. I want the WXGA+ and was going to wait, but if i can get it over the phone i would order now
