So I formatted my new m1530 and installed XP with SATA drivers and all and it was working perfectly untill I hit the MD button on accident. Now the MD screen comes up and I get a BSOD. For some reason MD took over my power button too so I can't get into my OS. I guess I'd have to make some changes to the mbr? I'm not sure on this so any help would be wonderful. I've heard some stuff about a file called rmbr.exe on a mediadirect CD that can fix this problem, is it available online?

    Thanks!

This sounds like you never completed the installation correctly. At the end of the OS installation you were supposed to insert the MD3 disk in again and click on the Dellkit executable to complete the installation. Is it possible you skipped this part because another omitted the last part with the same result...

Well I overlooked the obvious. Starting up the laptop by pressing the MediaDirect button again brings it back to windows. So I guess the MD button acts as some sort of switch... but is it possible to just make the MD button act as a power button?
