Well, the shipment was late for a day but is still well ahead of the scheduled time (4 days to be exact). Anyway, it just came in 2 hours ago at my workplace and the first thing I checked was the screen.

It turns out to be an AUO 2077 panel which, based on different reviews, is even worse than the samsuck... Although this particular panel looks pretty good, texts appear to be crystal clear and contrast ratio is beyond acceptable. The only complaint I have is that it seems to be a little dim, even with brightness at the maximum. As for the backlight bleeding, I don't really notice but that's probably because my workplace is pretty bright. I'll test it when I get home.

Anyway, I'd just like to share some monitor test results since I'm at work right now and don't have anything to compare it with (well, I do have three Dell LCDs on my desk, but they are all pretty old and the AUO2077 is a clear winner compared to them).

Below is my EIZO monitor test results (I'm only listing the ones I've found problem with):

Test 8/24 - Gray screen. I noticed some wavy distortion. Other gray screens do not have this problem.
Test 7/24, 8/24, 9/24 - These 3 gray screens draw pretty slow compared to my other LCD panels at work.
Test 14/24 - Contrast ratio. The first two blocks of black (1.2% and 2.4%) and the last two blocks of white (97.6% and 98.8%) are nearly invisible.
Test 17/24: Convergence. There appears to be shoulders between crosses of different colors.

That's about it. I haven't found any other problem with this panel (or at least I don't think so).

The EIZO monitor test can be downloaded here.

If you run the test, please post your results. Thanks. :D
