When i move the lap top forward, back, left or right, the computer whines. Stationary, and i don't here a peep. if the movement is swift, the whine is louder and longer within that fast movement.

This is a replacement unit within 21 day exchange. What may be the cause?

M1530 makes that noise either way dont worry about it, both of my units has that issue although one is louder than the other. It's not whining it's related to the fan i believe.

these is some. I think the longer you have it the most likely you will hear it especially when It's very quiet. First I thought it's the HD but then I found out it's coming from the right side.. So I'm not sure where it's coming fom. I really have to listen for it to hear it. I can live with it.

It isn't just the M1530. I've experienced it with my Latitude D610 after the System Board was replaced (for an unrelated reason).

Dell has posted a notice about it at:

    http://support.dell.com/support/top...d=0A7D5CD2E17F5125E0401E0A55176204&doclang=en

My experience: If I unplug my mouse, as well as any other USB 1.1 peripherals, the noise level drops to insignificant. If I plug in a USB 2.0 peripheral--even with my mouse connected--the noise becomes imperceptible. Therefore, the workaround for me has been to connect my mouse via a USB 2.0 hub.
