Did you install the modded inf. file?
-
Read the step-by-step "how to" process from laptop2go and make sure you replace the .inf file with the one you have to DOWNLOAD SEPARATELY from lv2go. If it still won't work, try downloading 174.31 from Dell's drivers website by selecting the current Inspiron line and downloading the driver for the 8400 chipset (yes, you have a different chip but it'll work just fine).

yeah i did both of that, first when I install the 174.93 I replace with modded inf cause otherwise I cant proceed with the install, then when after "completed install" reboot and nothing happens, no driver at all. then I install 174.31 from inspiron line 1520's video driver, "completed install" reboot and again nothing was install, on device manager it only show as "standard vga adapter". I even tried manually install the driver by clicking "update driver" still nothing was going, the installation proceed as sussesful but nothing was actually installed.

oh and everytime I uninstall I use Driver cleaner as well.
-
now I cant uninstall the "standard vga driver" which vista gave me, everytime I reboot it just install the same driver right back and said "windows has determined the best driver software for your device"
god i hate vista...
-
You don't need to uninstall the "standard VGA driver."
You only need to uninstall the previous Nvidia driver. -
reformatted the laptop, now the problem is that I can ONLY install Nvidia driver through "windows update" other than that I still cant install 174.93 from laptopvideo2go.com with the modded driver replace nor the 174.31 from dell insperion 1520, and even the factory XPS1530 driver.
