Hi, my XPS M1530 does not boot when I have my ipod plugged in - after the dell bios loading the it stops on a black screen with the cursor blinking in the left upper corner and I have to shut the laptop down, unplug the ipod and start again. It happens even when waking up from hibernation, stand by or when launching MD. I tried to search the forum for ipod but didn find anythig, so I wonder if I am the only one with this problem. I have the newest bios version and I also tried turning off the possibility to boot from USB. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks

What does your boot order show? Is your hard drive listed first?
-
Yes, it is. The order is HDD, USB, CD/DVD.
-
Just unplug it. This is a known issue with many computers, and there really isn't a true work around.
-
too bad, it really sucks to unplug the ipod after hibernation when I played music from it
