I really wish they would offer 1680x1050 LED.

    Would you guys pick a 1680x1050 LCD over a 1,440 x 900 LED?

I'd probably pick the 1440x900 LED if the prices were the same.

I'd take the 1440x900 LED, which I did.

    For me it's 1680x1050 LG over 1440 x 900 LED.

I can't decided which one to get. Is the LED really that much better even though it has a lower resolution?

Sorry I didn't see the other LED post.

This is the same question I'm wrestling with. As the LED panel isn't available in UK yet, do I just buy the CCFL one or wait for the WLED ones.
    If it's 2 weeks away...maybe I'll wait. If it's 6 months away then CCFL here I come.

I've emailed a Dell sales rep about LED availability. If he comes back with anything useful (like a date!) I'll be sure to post. I'm not holding my breath though.

I have a 1440 x 900 LCD (LG) and it looks great. I am actually trading mine in for the LED for the weight difference, the longer lifespan, and the brightness factor. LED is 50 nits brighter than the WSGA+. You won't see much of a difference, except 150$ ;) . I'd still go for it.

So whats the quality like for these LED screens? Grainy? Brightness? Colour Reproduction?

Let me guess the LED backlight screens are only available with "TrueLife" AKA super gloss
