Running my M1530 with the newly downloaded Vista power scheme's from Dell.com and set to "Dell Recommended". When on battery, I have the LCD brightness down a couple of notches from full brightness.

If I let the M1530 sit for a few minutes the screen dims down to about 30%.
If I resume using it, it doesn't go back up in brightness. I have to do the Fn keypress to bring up the brightness again. Let it sit, and it dims back down to 30%.

Seems odd that it would do that itself, and not reset back to the "active" brightness level. Kind of a pain...

I THINK that is what it is suspossed to do. As in it is doing a "smart dimmer" sort of thing. Where based on the level of your battery the screen will get darker and darker.

Does the screen get darker even if you are using it on battery?
