So does a 3dmark06 score of 4290 indicate DD2 or GDDR3? (assuming the standard clocks)

Don't forget the fact that it's on a 1280 x 800 screen. Pretty sure I've seen someone else link that review before.

    It's a shame they don't offer a higher res :( 1280*800 is a bit too low for me on a 15".

    http://www.enet.com.cn/article/2007/1129/A20071129929975.shtml

here is one more, if you cant read chinse well.... too bad lol but atleast you can look at some real pictures. china and hong kong customers already recieved their units starting this week.

also check out the benchmark on page 6 with resolution 1440 X 900

    " XPS 1530采用15.4英寸液晶宽屏显示器,标准配置的屏幕分辨率为1280×800像素(WXGA),用户购买的时候还可以选择分辨率为1440×900像素(WXGA+)和1680×1050像素(WSXGA+)的型号"

the site saids "you can get screen option with dell 1530" but when i check dell's china site it still dont show any options. but I wonder if you call in dell's chinese sales line would have give you the choose. I'll try later... lol

23min later after the first post on this thread, NBreview finally post a firstlook review of 1530 and also confirm a 3dmark06 score of 4310, while asia.cnet is 4290

    so XPS M1530 approx has a 3dmark score of 4300 at 1280x800

    definitely a GDDR3

Are you serious? I was really really liking the M1530 untill i saw the battery life.. That just sucks!
What sort of extra battery life would you expect from the 9cell battery then?

How does that suck? Very few 15.4" gaming laptops can do better on a 6-cell. Maybe the MBP when running OSX, but not in Vista, I don't think. Remember that DVD battery drain will be much lower than normal usage.
