    Hi,

I have been searching for the past few days for a fix. I am able to get to the internet without any problems at 130.0 Mbps using a Dlink DIR-655 router.

When I click on view full map in the network and sharing, I get an error. I installed the LLTD on my desktops that run XP and it doesn't help.

I have full file sharing on all the systems. I can view my shared folders from XP Desktop to Vista laptop, but not the other way around...

How do I access my XP desktop shared folders from Vista laptop?

    Thanks!

What error are you getting? It sounds like your network connection is set to a public location as opposed to a home location. Go to the network and sharing center and customize your wireless/wired connection to be a home connection. Also check to see if file sharing and public folders are turned on.

Network connection is set to private and file sharing and public folders are on.

The error when I click on view full map:
An error happened during the mapping process.

Hmm now I can't even see the Vista laptop from the XP desktop.

IPv6 doesn't have anything to do with folder sharing.

Are the two computers on the same workgroup? What shows up when you click Network on the start menu?

Both are using WORKGROUP as workgroup.

The strange thing is I can't change Vista laptop workgroup name even as adminstrator login. I can change the laptop name only, workgroup is greyed out.

Is it because it's Vista Home Premium?
