Hey i was wondering if anyone knew whether or not the TV tuner offered by Dell for the m1530 was able to record high definition programming? Thanks!

Perhaps if you posted more info as to which tuner is being offered, someone could answer your question.

Well if you configure the m1530 on the Dell website, the only tv tuner option is described as " TV Tuner card analog/digital external USB".

I'd suggest calling up Dell to confirm if it does. I decided not to go with the TV tuner since I just purchased a pinnacle one for a nice discount on black friday!

Its probably overpriced OEM version of some random chipset, better off buying the ATI HD tuner, that way you know you're getting quality.

Sorry for being dumb, but is it easy to attach a TV tuner on the dell m1530 notebook? And also, are there not any issues like poor quality and lag when using the tuner? Lastly, do you think the Dell m1530 can cope with an HD tuner?

    Thanks!

...I think it just plugs into a USB port, correct?
