I can not get any nvidia drivers that allow media direct to play blu-ray movies using XP on my Samsung LN-T4661F HDTV.

The movies play fine when the display is not connected, but give me an error saying I have an incompatible video driver with the display plugged in.

    This is extremely frustrating.

I've tried 156.65, 167.57 and 169.21 (which from everything I read, should have worked...)

Thanks, MPAA, for automatically assuming that I am a criminal. Thanks, Dell for not supporting XP on the M1530, and thanks, Microsoft for making a sh*tty OS (Vista), that convinced me to 'upgrade' to XP.

Try the "official" ones from Nvidia.

Are you using all HDCP compliant stuff?

The 169.21 was from nvidia. Besides, there are no 'official' ones for the 8600M GT on the nvidia website, as it as an OEM card.

I've downloaded the closest desktop drivers that I can find, but they do not work with Media Direct (Incompatible graphics driver error message).

I tried it out with PowerLink DVD, and amazingly, the BD plays, but I haven't downloaded the latest BD update for PowerLink, and I have a funny feeling that it may 'break' it. The download for the update was unreasonably slow, so I stopped it, but I'll download it eventually and see if things still work.

The TV is HDCP compliant. I got it to work in Vista (before I reformatted) with the 169.25 drivers (the xp equivalent of that driver is 169.21)

As far as I know It wont work on XP....

You will have to use something other than media direct to view Blu-Ray titles on XP
