The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    M1530; need help with opening up mp3 in browser

    yeah well hello, this is a problem that probably is talked about somewhere in the forum but I'm giving it a shot here anyhow:

    The thing is that when I try to open up a linked mp3 from an irc chat or likewhise I get a 404. The 404 also struck when I tried to play some mp3's from a site that I know I can listen to. I even tried to listen from the host directly through Total Commander - nada music "file can not be found"

    Now, I don't think there is a driver problem.. but yeah.. I'm not sure.. help is well appreciated :)

    If it is a 404 - page not found - it is not there. Check the URL, you might need to copy and paste the URL from IRC window to the browser address bar.

    Done that - doesn't help - and I know that the file is at the location.

    Nothing, more than the fact that MY computer is of that sort and I thought that someone else encountered this very same problem - silly me :rolleyes:
