I intend to do some CAE work on a M4300 I recently purchased. It will come with Vista Business (32 bit) as the installed OS. I was hoping to replace this with XP 64. However, I get the impression that there are no drivers for the quadro FX360M, that support 64-bit. I have checked both the Dell and Nvidia web sites with no luck.

I got the following reply when I put this question to Dell

"I cannot see an option for purchasing xp 64 bit as standard on the Dell Website."

"It does show in our systems as an available option for purchase."

"XP 64 is no longer made and therefore is not a supported option."
"If you purchased Vista 64 at point of sale, we would support it to the best of our abilities."

"Please be certain that all your devices and software are compatible with a 64 bit operating system, sometimes drivers are a bit more difficult to find."

Failing this I will probably put XP 32 on the system, but this seems a waste considering the M4300 is a 64 bit machine.
