    Hello,

I read a post on this case of red Firepro M5100 graphic board not running on the Precision M4700 on this forum.
    Interesting, very interesting.

So the pb I have now is when I put the original Firepro M4000 I got the same troubleshooting : I heard the fans for 3 seconds and the laptop shutting down. Exactly as if I had the incompatible red Firepro M5100.

I don't know what to do and need help.

    Thanks, regards,

    Fabrice

Hello, did you try a clear CMOS by removing the CMOS battery?
    I found this link
Of course unplug the power adaptor and remove the battery before doing it! :)

    Hi,

I'm still in a deep... My Precision M4700 won't start after a clear CMOS. I still have the same pb. Graphics seems to be not recognized and I don't know what to do.
If anyone have an idea, it would be great appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Fabrice
