I was hoping someone who has used the M6300 for an extended period of time could let me know how hot it gets / if it gets hot on the palm rest area.

I'm an absolute freak when it comes to heat. It's the major reason I've considered the M2010 since the keyboard detached.

    Thanks!!

if a detached keyboard is what you want, why not get a separate keyboard, wired or wireless?

I'm unsure, but if you are looking for some raw power and are in that price range I suggest the Alienware M9750. I own one and I have been EXTREMELY satisfied. Even after intense gaming there is no heat difference except near the heat vents in the back. Check it out and see what you think...

How's the keyboard on the M9750 Shoelace? I checked it out and it does look nice.

My only concern is whether I can be taken seriously in a meeting with it : )
