other questions
1) can the cpu be upgraded later to the 2.3ghz proccessor?
2) lenovo is currently backup on the WUXGA screen, what is the situation with dell? has anyone else have a wuxga screen can you please tell me your opinion on it and is it better just to get wxga screen.
3) whats the best warranty plan with the best bang for my buck? is it worth to get the gold tech support?
i dont want to go over $3000.00
4) is there much different between the 2.ghz proccessor and the 2.33 ghz is it noticable difference?

Commander Wolf can i haz broadwell?
1) The CPU can be upgraded.
2) I've got a WUXGA. I've got no qualms with it. The text is a bit small at native resolution.
3) Not sure about the warranty, but something tells me Gold Tech Support isn't worthwhile...
4) If there is, it will be slight. -
thanx commander i really appreciate it
anyone else please... id really appreiciate any opinions i can get!!! thank you -
Dell is coming out with a Santa Rosa based 17" Precision, supposedly soon.
Since you're looking at a high-end machine, I recommend waiting for the new Dell (I believe it is called the M6300) so you get the performance increases of the Santa Rosa chipset and the ability to get an extra .25 GB in a 32-bit OS (3.5 vs 3.25 on the M90). 4 GB RAM can be had around the 'net for about $200, so don't bother paying Dell $1000 for the upgrade.
The M90 UXGA screen is very nice, though I only worked on it for a few days.
I really like Dell's Warranty. When you buy the system, see if they'll throw in the 3 year warranty, or bump you up to CompleteCare. I'm not sure if the Gold Tech Support is worth it, but on that kind of laptop, a 3 year warranty is certainly worth looking into.
As far as the processor, unless it's a negligible difference in price, I'd get the cheapest with 4 MB of cache (T7300 or T7500 depending on Dell's stock). -
i would wait if that were an option but right now for me waiting really isnt an option.. i really need to get a laptop asap and right now this is the only one i can get asap.. that matches all the specs i need. i have a question about the santa rosa though it says that it works with the odd number such as t7300 or t7500 currently the m90 is only on even numbers.. or am i mistaken?
although lenovo has the odd numbers...i wonder wat does that mean in terms of this intell and their t61p series..o well thats something else...
so then should i even consider getting an m90? if its going to be outdates really soon? or is it a good buy to get it now? -
