I am about to buy the internal 355 bluetooth module from dell. :D

I have an mx revolution cordless mouse :D but not sure if it connects to dongle via bluetooth.

If it does, does anyone know if I can connect the mouse directly to the internal bluetooth rather than using the external dongle supplied with the mouse?

The MX Revolution is not a Bluetooth mouse. You will still have to use the dongle.

Would you happen to know how much it costs to buy one from dell?

I got one on e-bay used for like $25.

Thanks for the info jcaulley, I was hoping that the mx revolution would use bluetooth so I wouldn't have to carry the little usb dongle around everywhere I go, but mx revolution is yet the best mouse there is... so I can't complain ;)

Prototelis, it costs $22 CAN to buy the bluetooth 355 from dell + shipping and tax = about $25 CAN .

It's funny how dell charges an extra $80 CAN if you add bluetooth while configuring your laptop on their website, when in fact you can buy it separately for $25 (including tax and shipping).

Yeah. Thats why I did my homework when I bought this and got one from e-bay after the fact. According to all the currency exchange data I can find it should be cheaper for you too.

The thing about adding parts to your dell order is that on some of the more expensive components that you aren't supposed to handle they cut you a serious break. On others you get charged not only for the cost of the component but for the labor.

It pays yo go ahead and get more ram and a good GPU when you're ordering, but it seems for extras like this it's cheaper to buy on the side and install yourself.
