    HI everyone,
I currently have a 15" Macbook Pro with the new LED display and the Santa Rosa chip. The display is good but now as amazing as some of the HP and Sony models i've seen in stores. Has anyone used both this Macbook Pro and the XPS M1330, if so could they tell me which had a superior display?
Also the Macbook Pro has an amazingly comfortable keyboard. Does anyone know how the XPS M1330's keyboard compares?

Any advice / opinions is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Terry

Only 2 XPS 1330 were delivered so far, so unless the owners know about the MBP, you won't have any reliable info about this....

I would love to see some head to head reviews of both these products

I'm curious, why are you considering moving from the MBP to the M1330? Quite a few have gone the other direction.

I was thinking a bit about WLED screens. The advantages that are claimed are (I think):
    Better viewing angle
    Brighter
    Better contrast
    Less power consumption
Longer life (less fading with age)
    Thinner
More robust? (probably really depends on the way it is built)
    More environmental (no mercury)

Now the brightness probably varies with the amount of LEDs installed. If so then the manufacturers may have the freedom to make different variants. One might be no brighter than CCFL but be a lot more power efficient. Another might be a lot brighter but not so much more power efficient.

Better viewing angle presumably also means more light output (unless it is light that would otherwise have been absorbed by the screen itself).

If both were readily available then I think we'd see a lot less people moving to MBP. This guy obviously has a lot of patience or doesnt know the situation with the M1330s yet lol :D
