Hi. I've had my notebook for about a month and have been quite happy with the display. Just the other day I went to the Nvidia control panel for fun and adjusted the desktop color settings. I always assumed that these were set to the best settings from the factory. I was blown away by the difference. This probably is common knowledge but I just wanted to share. I have the led display by the way.

Yep, the digital vibrance really richens the display colours.

I've had my m1330 for months now and never bothered to tweak digital vibrance. There is a very nice improvement, even in my chi mei display. What percentage do you guys set your digital vibrance at?

I set mine near 40%, but the damned slider won't let me set it right on, only on 39% and 41% T_T.... I hate being a perfectionist :(

    Brightness…47% Digital Vibrance….44% Contrast…80% Gamma…27%
I found that these settings produce the most realistic flesh tones. Everyone has different tastes. Look at the pictures to the right while you adjust the settings to your liking.

I can't set the Digital Vibrance! Once I press "apply," it just changed to 0 automatically! T_T

    I'm using 156.87 though

It'll be different values for each setting depending on the display. I would imagine my Chi Mei display would require a higher digital vibrance and contrast, but lower brightness than both of your screens.

SmoothTofu, what screen type do you have?

Surprisingly, on my Toshiba I found out that brightness 47%, DV 20%, contrast 47%, Gamma 28% made me feel the best...
Of course, it differs among different people.

After playing around quite a bit with the settings on my Chi Mei LED screen, I found these values to be optimal for me in regards to color tones and brightness levels when looking at photos.

    Brightness : 50
    Digital Vibrance : 41
    Contrast : 57
    Gamma : 42

Hmm, it seems that whenever I power off my notebook and then boot into windows again, the visual settings are the default values. When I check the nvidia control panel, though, the values are how I set them. If i just click on one of the sliders, it then updates my screen with the correct colors. I just can't get them to stay after a restart.

Edit: Changing my video driver seems to have solved this problem in remembering the settings.

Aww. I thought all was good, but the new video settings don't appear after coming out of sleep or turning the display off. Just seems so pale when it reverts to the default colors and vibrance.

This is probably due to using older video drivers. The 156.55, 156.66, 156.59 all are ok with being able to adjust vibrance.
