    As per the Dell website:

    Hard Drives
    SATA hard drive
Up to 250GB configured with 5400 RPM SATA hard drive.
Up to 200GB configured with 7200 RPM SATA hard drive.
32GB configured with a Solid State hard drive.

Does that mean the maximum size my m1330 will recognize is either a 250gb/5400rpm or 200gb/7200rpm? Or those are the largest sizes that Dell offers with the m1330?

I can't configure one with a 250gb drive on the website here in the UK.

I couldn't either......but my question is more so can the m1330 HANDLE something larger than that regardless of what Dell is offering.

For example, if I buy a 500gb SATA drive will it work or will the m1330 throw up at me?

As Long as the HD you buy is a notebook drive you will be fine. But it is nearly impossible to buy a 500 GB notebook drive. The highest I found was the Western Digiatl Scorpio 2.5 Mobile Drive. It is only 250 GB. So, I suggest you look into external drives.

Off Topic: I bought a Dell XPS M1330 Too, How do you like it, if you dont mind.

usually those bigger sizes are 3.5" inch drives, so no, you cant stuff like 500GB or whatever into a notebook. well, not that i know of

Sorry.....just grabbed the 500gb figure because it was the first one that came to mind. :)

As far as the m1330 goes, I absolutely love it!! I had originally ordered (and received) a D620 but then sent it back when I found out the D630s were going to be available in Canada. While waiting for that, the m1330 came out and I ordered it instead! Best decision ever! :D

Chipman...my 32Gb review is an indication of how I feel with my new system. I have also bought and sold two others to which the owners are in touch with me, one a staff newspaper photographer and one a computer engineering student. They love their systems.
