    Hi

I am thinking of upgrading my laptop hard drive. It is currently an 80GB model and would like to upgrade to a larger model, ideally 200GB or thereabouts.

However I've heard that there is a limitation with this model in that it cannot recognise any hard drive larger than 137GB - is this correct?

If so is there any way around this limitation?

Thanks in advance for your help.

The 48 bit addressing support was fixed in one of the SPs for XP. You should be good since the 8600 was around 2004, so the majority of BIOS should have had the support for it by then. If not, I am sure there is probably an update to fix it.
