    Maximum memory on an Inspiron 1300?

    Was going to upgrade the memory for a friend but the manual says it only supports a maximum of 2gb. Is this true or is the manual outdated?

    if the manuals are outdated, then so are the computers. That figure is probably true. There's no point in going any higher that that/

    Yes but sometimes they list the maximum hard drive size as 120gb as well which I doubt is true. That's why I'm trying ot get a definitive answer from someone.
