So I got my brand new E1505, which I'm extremely happy about. First thing I do, soon as it's out of the box, is format it. Now I finally have all the drivers re-installed with the help of Dell Chat, but obviously can't get MediaDirect as I need a separate partition for that. I asked the Dell people over Dell Chat if I could use the media buttons on the bottom of my laptop with, say, iTunes. They said no, and I can only use them with MediaDirect. Just wondering if any of you disagree with this statement. Also, I read here that the SoundBlaster Audio Card is only Software accelerated... which disappoints me, as I did not know that earlier. I wanted to get the Audigy Laptop PCMCIA card, but Dell only sports ExpressCards these days... any suggestions for how I can upgrade the sound on this baby? Also, is there anything that actually uses ExpressCard besides certain Network Cards? Thanks in advance!

Where did you get the drivers? I want to reformat, but I don't want to go to all these random driver sites looking for drivers that they might not have, and if they do they might not work right.

You can download media direct I think. When I reformated with dells help they sent me a media direct disk.... but I never installed it.. I wasn't really happy with it in the first place. I would rather start windows up. I never use batteries to watch movies.. so no problem there.

My computer came with a drivers disk that had all the drivers for everything on my system. Id check to see if you have that. If you dont you can find them all for your computer at www.support.dell.com

Actually, Dell Chat helped me round up all the drivers very nicely. You just have to be patient with them because they're really slow. But does anyone know if I can configure the Media Buttons to work with WMP or iTunes or anything other than MediaDirect?

As long as you have quickset running they should work with itunes as long as its the selected window.

But what if I minimize iTunes, is there anyway to get them to work in that case?
