Is there any point in getting the Media Centre Remote? What exactly does it do, and is it useful enough to buy one somewhere for my E1505

Plus is it possible to get the external Dell TV tuner as an accessory or is it only available at time of purchase

I think the remote's kinda pointless w/o the tuner, but if you have the tuner, you need the remote to record from a "set-top box", as in cable box/sat reciever. They're available online for about the same price, so no point buying it from dell.

And if you get a 3rd party (non-dell) tv tuner than the Dell remote you got will most likely not work unless you know the code squence.

I just sold my remote. I also sold my XPS M140 :p The remote was nice when watching DVD's. You can get them on ebay for around $20 shipped.
