Hi Yall!New here. i have been reading a lot of post here regarding Media Direct and windows, but I need someone to clarify something and please help. I have an E1505 WITH windows vista Ultimate, and i cleaned out my hard drive. I dont have Media Direct 3.0 reinstall DVD, but i happen to download it off a torrent site.

When I shut off my system and press the Media Direct button, it doesn't boot up, but instead, it says that "NTLDR IS MISSING. PRESS ANY KEY TO RESTART"
But when i hit the shutdown key, and hit the Media Direct button again, it boots up in Windows mode and then Media Direct opens after.
Am i suppose to get Media Direct 2.0?
What I read is that Media Direct opens and boots up WITHOUT the whole OS and hard drive being active. Anybody knows what I'm trying to say? Thanks for the help in advance.

Meaning you formatted ?? If so, did you install MD3 after you reinstalled the OS ?

You can install/use MD3, even if your PC was originally shipped with MD2.

Media direct doesn’t use the primary OS. Instead it has it’s own optimized OS which will boot up faster and supposedly consumes less resources giving better battery life. However it is installed on the hard disk as the primary OS, therefore the HDD will be active (it is not booted off a special chip if that is what you thought)
