When I go into Media Direct it says there is an update. I downloaded it and when I install it, it says Unable to install patch! Your system must have Media Direct 4.7 installed. Installation will abort.

Ummm...MediaDirect i dont think would skip from 3.3 to 4.7 yet.

    Spyware! Worms! Virus attacks! Uh-oh...

Go to Dell drivers, check your service tag and see if there is a new 4.7 MD driver there; I dont think so.

My XPS came with all the latest drivers, even ones not even posted on the Dell site. My bios says A05, I cannot even find it on the Driver update page? I have drivers that Dell released mid August on my system.

    Not too shabby

There was a belief that the A05 bios update was pulled and you might want to check with dell on that. It was on the website briefly then pulled. That may be your problemo...

Ohh, I will email Dell tech support and ask. So far everything has been good, run some heavy diagnostic tests to stress the system. And all seems good so far.

    Thanks, will check it out.

Oh that was fast, Just got off from the online chat with Dell. And apparently A05 is the latest bios, which is shipping with all current M1330's. As to why it is not on the driver site, she could not answer that.

Apparently A05 fixes some issue about the system running hot. And helping correct an issue that causes a high pitch from the processor.
