Hey guys, I've just joined recently and have a question.

I've ordered an Inspiron 1525 but it comes with Vista. I would like to format
the Hard Drive and Install XP.

My main concern is that I've heard that if you want Media Direct you need to install it first before you format the Hard Drive and Install XP so it doesn't corrupt the Media buttion.

So How am I supposed to Install it and when? Because If you install Media Direct first, won't it just be erased when you format the Hard Drive? I'm a little confused so if someone could clear this up, it would be great.

    Thanks.

Use the media direct cd to format and partition the hdd then it will promote you to insert the os cd/dvd to install the os after that you'll neet to install the media direct aplication within windows.

    hope that helps.
