    Hi,

I have an inspiron 6400 with windows mce and mediadirect 3 installed. When launching MediaDirect (Not Media Exprience) by pressing the mediadirect button while in windows every thing works great, but the media buttons (play pause forward...etc) wont work they work with mce but mediadirect nothing. However when booting mediadirect while the laptop is off the media buttons work but in windows they dont. any solution to fix this problem thanx.

I think you need the QuickSet software to be running in order to work the media keys. I don't know for sure, actually. Someone else will correct me if I am wrong.

Just to make it clear since your wording was a bit confusing. MediaDriect doesn't load when you're booted to Windows, media center does(in your case since you have XP MCE) mediadirect only loads when you press the button when the power is off. about your buttons not working, is it just the play/pause/RR/FF/stop buttons or is it all of them including the volume?

No, in Media Direct 3, mediadirect boots while in windows. The software now is linked with windows and the hidden partition. And the volume works, only the play pause RR and FF are not working.
