    Hey All:

If I change my optical drive (from the standard DVD to a Pioneer DVR-K06 DL DVDRW) will MediaDirect still work? Also, has anyone tried this upgrade or will I be the first?

    Thanks in advance!

Yes, mediadirect will work. MD doesn't depend on the cd/dvd drive outside of the fact that the cd/dvd drive has to be able to read that kind of media (i.e. if you only used a cd drive, you wouldn't be able to watch DVDs). You shouldn't have to repair MD or do anything like that since you haven't messed with the partitions.

    Thanks a lot SG!

When/if I do mess with the partitions, I'll be sure to use your guide so I don't mess MD up :)

    Again, thanks a bunch!
