I have a XPS M1210 running vista. The mediadirect plays my DVD movies without problem when I am in windows. If I try running only mediadirect (using the button), mediadirect will load, but when I try to play the same DVD, the screen remains blank (other than the player control buttons) and the dvd drive will stop running.

Any idea's here? I hesitate to reload everything. Using the M1210 as a dvd player on airplanes is a goal (I only get 1:55min on battery when in windows).
    Thanks

I have a related question. What's the general opinion of MediaDirect in general? What are its limitations in terms of what types of files it can play? Is it worth even leaving on when my xps 1330 arrives?
