    Hi there all,

If I didn't buy the Media Direct option for E1405, is it still possible to install MediaDirect if I somehow have the reinstallation disc, doing the harddisk partitioning myself and be able to run MediaDirect with the notebook turned off?

Doesn't E1405 come with MediaDirect as 'standard equipment'??

If you have the MediaDirect Reinstallation disk, then yes, you can use it to create your own MediaDirect partition. However, I don't know if it will work from Power OFF. I guess it depends on your hardware/BIOS configuration. As a minimum, you should be able to run the MediaDirect partition from the Microsoft boot.ini 'menu' during start.

Here's a post to give you some idea of what you're in for...

    Cheers
