I know there are a lot of dual-boot threads but I cannot find one specific to this issue. I have 3 partitions on my 1500 right now - one for xp, and two hidden ones for mediadirect and the dell diagnostics.
I want to dual-boot xp and vista. Would the process be to simply shrink the xp partition by 60 gigs and install vista on the free space? Will mediadirect still work with vista and xp if I do this?
    Thanks for any help.

No, you will have to start over, you will have to install media direct first, then partition the C drive, and leave the other partitions intact, then you will have to install Windows XP then install Windows Vista, unless somebody knows an easier way...
