I recently tried using the MediaDirect program inside Windows XP SP3 and it simply won't start up. The weird thing about it is that it was working in the past, and that it works correctly on other system accounts (guest and other people who use this computer). It's a Dell Vostro 1500. Does anyone know what could have caused this? It's a fairly fresh install of Windows (2 months old tops) and MediaDirect still works by pressing the key when the laptop is off.

I'm guessing some of these are what I could have done to break it.
    - Applied a password to my account.
    - Installed Windows XP with SP3 (slip streamed cd)
    - Installed some program.
    - Windows hates me.

Does anyone have any ideas on this? Where could I find the settings for MediaDirect so I can delete them and reset the program? Thanks in advance.

you can try to TRICK windows...

create another administrator account and check if its working.. If it does.. then delete the previous administrator account and use the new one..

It would take barely 2 minutes or so.. go to the control panel - user accounts - and make a new account.. simple..

you call that work ??!!
